REP Fitness Barbells for Teton Training, Delta Mixed-Use, and Badlands Powerlifting

REP Fitness, a Colorado-based company founded by two gym-loving brothers in 2012, offers a full line of gym equipment designed by in-house, weightlifting engineers for both commercial and home gyms. From adjustable benches to plyoboxes and dumbbell sets, their gear is designed for modern training and built to withstand the toughest workouts.

The brothers, Ryan and Shane Mcgrotty, started REP in a humble 1,200-square-foot retail storefront with a two-car garage in Longmont, Colorado. They filled the space with a few pieces of equipment and stacked bumper plates to the ceiling in the closet, with the goal of creating a welcoming and customer-centric experience. Their desire was to sell high-quality gear that they themselves would use and love.

Recognizing the importance of supporting those who serve our nation and community, REP has chosen to pledge $100,000 in 2023 to three great charities that help military and first responder's families: The First Responders Children's Foundation, Folds of Honor, and the Gary Sinise Foundation.

REP's product line includes a variety of barbells, each designed with specific features to cater to different training needs. The Teton Training Bar is a high-value, intermediate weightlifting barbell with needle bearings, medium-depth volcano knurling, and IWF-compliant markings. The Delta Basic Bar is an introductory mixed-use barbell that favors powerlifting, featuring brass bushings, medium-depth volcano knurling, and dual IPF and IWF markings. The Badlands Bar is an intermediate powerlifting barbell with bronze bushings, aggressive mountain-style knurling, and IPF-aligned specifications.

The key differences between the barbell models lie in their sleeves, knurling, and standards. Needle bearings offer faster, smoother, and quieter spin, ideal for Olympic-style lifts, while bushing sleeves are better suited for strength-focused powerlifting movements. The knurling styles range from medium-depth volcano for general use to aggressive mountain-style for heavy lifts. The bars also adhere to different weightlifting and powerlifting federation standards, ensuring compatibility with competition equipment.
